So the bullshit actually comes from nothing at all. Wow, they’d give West Ham and good run on the in the bullshitting league lol
Maybe Ilderton recalls more but for me there wasn't anything alight, I was right next to windows although couldn't see out unless stuck my head round but could see all along the windows and didn't see any of them attempt to put their head/arms in, otherwise was still a few bottles ready for them, actually stood against the wall still drinking 😁

It went off in the town before the game and I got nicked, by Clayton of all people, so missed the fun and games in the ground. I’ve got the picture somewhere, I’ll dig it out.
Was that the time when they played Charlton in midweek not long ater and a few Wall smashed up their coach ?

Fucking cheek😉 shirters😁 had arranged to meet a mate in there, was also in gardeners first (I think) as we got there was an old mate just leaving, said stoke were down the fort, pub had 15-20 still in there Roughly? (Memories fucked) decided to wait for mate, a few minutes later dermot (the guvnor) shouting away from the windows as he shut the main doors, then as you said windows go through, managed to get near dj box and get a couple away but too much coming in so stood to the side, but from memory they made no attempt to get in even though they must've seen not many in there

I was round the Rotherhithe new rd side and managed to grab a couple of small plant pots to lob at them before the guvnor shut the doors. I remember the family cowering underneath the pool table and the poor kids were shaking in fear as they unloaded bricks, stones and bottles through the windows, they did a great job as even the mirrors where the optics were behind the jump were smashed to fuck.

At one point I stuck my head up just to have a look as there sounded like there was thousands of them out there but you are right they were all in the road, none on the pavement and 100% no petrol bombs or fire. There is a photo they took of it at the time in some Stoke book and pops up from time to time on FB and Instagram. I’m fucking glad they never got a picture of me sticking my dopey face out, I’d never have lived that down.

You sticking your head up and me trying to peek round wall out the window, would've looked a right pair of plums🤣

Logged onto one of their forums this evening!

They don’t like us or their previous manager! Love it!

Here’s a few examples of their prose, during our game against the mighty Potters!

Enjoy!

1st half.

“Millwall look set up to try and play out a 0-0. Who's their manager again?”

“Altogether now ‘Gary Rowett your football is shit’”

”Millwall look like a Gary Rowett team and that’s not a compliment. That said, you can see them still beating us.”

“What a bollocks goal that is. They have been nowhere near this game.”

“soooo against the run of play.”

“Just fuck off rowett, ref and everything else associated with fucking millwall!”

“Good goal and well deserved. No way did we deserve to be behind.”

“Great response from the players. We're far better than these twats lets go on and show it......”

“Rowett is utter garbage and nowhere near ONeill.”

“If you're going to be a shit ref, you're supposed to favour either the home team or the bigger club. Neither of which are fucking Millwall.”

“I could understand a bit more if it was Watford, Brentford or Bournemouth and the perception of how they play, but Millwall? Gary Rowett's Millwall? Really?”

2nd half.

“They've brought on Kieftenbeld lads, a defensive midfielder...”

“This Bennett is a right drama queen.”

“Rowett’s sub changed the balance of this game shame he couldn’t do it here.”

“Get Clucas on, he can score a goal from nothing. Going to take a moment of quality or an error to break their 10 man defence down.....”

“It's starting to feel like this has smash and grab written all over it.....”

“Catastrophic defending🤦🏻‍♂️

“We've gifted them two goals. It's unreal.”

“Millwalls half time sub changed the game and MoN as failed to react to it.”

“How are we losing to this trash?! A side that came for a 0-0!”

“They have been the better side since the substitution....because we have been so poor.”

“I hate to say it about the nasty bastards that are Milwall - but they have come out 2nd half and showed they are up for it. We have criminally been unprofessional, sloppy, and thrown this away. We are a shambles at times.”

“Classic Stoke. Concede 2 to a side that came for 0-0.”

“Imagine being out coached by Gary Bastard Rowett🙄

“His sub stifled us, then Batth fucked up. We were terrible second half but Millwall were gifted their victory......”

“Losing to a Rowett team is a new low even for us.”

“They were so shite until they scored. I'm fuming at the idea they might get in the playoffs.”

“Rubbish, Rowett is a rancid chancer of a manager and what undid us was a diabolical bout of defending by Baath. Take that out and it’s 1-1 or 2-1 us. They got lucky on the day and once he shut up shop at half time it was going to be an utterly shit game whatever, just like Rowett subjected us to time after time.”

And in reply to that reply, a supporter said this - which was the most balanced view of the lot:

“They didn't shut up shop, they actually moved the ball quicker than us and were a yard sharper. They defended resolutely when they needed to and we had no idea how to break them down. We bossed the first, they the second, horror mistake, fine margins..”

OK, it’s fun to read comments like these (especially when we win the game), but many of them do seem to mirror some of our own thoughts about Rowett and his defensive type of play. It seems that it’s not only been at Millwall that his style of football has been called out, which makes it all the more worrying that as Stoke manager he was given a large pot of transfer money to sign players, many of which, as it turned out during the following season, didn’t seem to add much more to the team as a whole. Rowett left the club with players they couldn’t get rid of, and who were on massive wages!

Has Rowett learned from those managerial transfer mistakes, or could he repeat them if Berylson was to give him a decent transfer pot at the end of this season? That is the $64,000 question! I’d like to think he has learned from those mistakes, because if we don’t want another season like this one, with too many draws that could cost us a play off place (or better), we have to buy one, possibly two 20+ goal scoring forwards, as well as a box to box midfielder and perhaps another covering centre half, if we want any chance of doing better this season (especially if we were somehow able to get to the play offs or, shock horror, promotion to the Premiershit!).
I hope we are going to have a good clear out in the Summer. Fielding, Pearce, Williams, Smith, Ferguson, Thompson. Send Woods and Zohore back to their parent clubs. It then depends on who Rowett replaces them with. Bennett, Evans and Kief his permanent signings to date have been okay without breaking the bank. You mentioned the players we need in your final paragraph plus a few younger squad players to replace those released. This is Rowett's chance to build his own team and next season will show how good or bad a manager he is.

Anyone remember a year later when we met in the old Greg in Jamaica Rd? They got stopped on the way and escorted straight to the ground early but we slipped down Zampa Rd but they wouldn’t get off their coaches
This is the one I remember, there were a few of there's that appeared to be making an attempt to get off but looking at most of their faces I think they were glad the police picked them up and escorted them when they did.

I would keep Woods depending on what it costs us, Agree with all the others, I think Ben's got a year left so we might get a fee, William's might stay in some capacity, Forward is a must but with our budget it will probably be the kid at Sutton.

ha ha more deluded fools

One league cup in 130 plus years and they think they are massive
And only reached that because of a missed penalty by West ham with Bobby Moore in goal for them in the semi

And just a few years ago their main tactic was a big player at the back throwing the ball in from throw ins onto the nut of their land of the Giants forward line
Wenger once said they were the enemy of football

Barca they definitely are not and never will be
By an odd quirk of fate I was at Wembley when they won that League Cup. Best part was watching Chelsea fans tearing up their programmes at the end😁

But only if he gets the financial backing from Berylson! Depending on how much that is, will of course determine which club in what league, we get them from.

Does Rowett look at the cheaper option, in leagues 1 and 2, in the hope of finding a couple of rough diamonds that can make it in the Championship, or does he wait to see what players are let go in our league? If it’s the latter, then a decent forward, box to box midfielder, and a covering centre half won’t be cheap. Yes, we’ll save on paying out on transfer fees, but players moving from one club to another in the same league, will want a tidy signing on fee, and at least the same wages, possibly more, especially if more than one club are interested in them!

I would get rid of Fielding, Pearce, Williams, Thompson and Zohore.

I would keep Smith as a back up, and give him another 1 year contract, because if we fail to go up this season (LOL), he has already proved himself in the Championship, and he’s another option if, in a game, our new forward line aren’t doing the business. Also, if our forward line is young, they could probably learn a lot from an old season pro like Smith!

I would keep Ferguson, again as a back up, plus he’s one of the very few who can deliver, from wide, a decent cross into the area!

I would be happy us keeping Woods, but only if Rowett sees the light and realises he has to play the ginger T-Rex further forward than where he’s playing now. However, getting Woods on another season long loan, would all depend on Stoke, as Woods still has one year left on his contract with them. If another team came in for the ginger ninja in the summer, happy to pay a transfer fee so as to not lose him to us free the following season, Stoke might just bite their arm off!

William's will be a player coach, I feel dirty say Ben should go but don't see him getting much game time, I agree about Smith but I can't see us keeping him for the occasional cameo.

Why does everybody want to get rid of Fielding?
We need a reserve keeper. Fielding seems quite happy to be the understudy.
If we got someone else in, would they be happy to be a permanent sub?
Genuine question, if we get rid of Frank, who do you want to replace him?

Thought exactly the same
