Boom boom

I was living in Bristol as a kid when Concorde was doing test flights from Filton, (north Bristol airport), and it was reported the sonic boom broke a few window-panes when flying over the city. After which it was decided only to go supersonic over sea or countryside.

They used to fly pretty low above the M6 just south of Carlisle. I never believed my mate who always said that when we were on the part of the road until one day they did fly over. Nearly had an accident in my trousers.
