    Ever support anyone else?

Never occurred to me to follow another club. Two lads I played football with, both lived on where the The Den is now situated followed West Brom and Spurs. As they got older both saw the light and began following Millwall.

    Millwall and the FA cup.

The two Fulham games in January 1965 hold some special memories. 3-1 down at one stage to draw 3-3, also we missed a penalty. The Fulham manager said after the game it might as well have been an home game for Millwall. Our contingent showed what support we gave the boys that afternoon. Manager...

    Lucas niell

He was declared bankrupt sometime ago, and one story I heard was that he use to try and sell complimentary tickets when he played. He liked pound-note, did Lucas.

    Cooper on Joe

A pal of mine told me something very telling about GR. If he turned up at Calmont Road with his boots, he would take the training/coaching that day. If he didn't have his togs, then the coaches would run the proceedings.

    Announcement before the weekend

If we are to believe there have been many applicants, we might have a new manager in just before the international break. The club are saying they're not in a rush to appoint, so the new man may come in after it.

    GR and the players

I maybe wrong, but I can't recall GR ever apologising to the fans' for terrible a performance. And there have been many on his watch.

I wondered why he wasn't on the Montenegro bench. I know now. Let's hope it isn't too serious!

Quotes from the Charlton no life forum

Ray Brady originally joined Millwall as a full-back, but was converted into a very successful centre-half, a bit like Colin Cooper had been. Ray went on to play for his country, the Rep. of Ireland. Pat came to the club following a trial period around Christmas 1958. Ray was dominant in the air...

Quotes from the Charlton no life forum

I too was at that game, how it ended up goalless is a mystery. The referee was quoted after the game that the atmosphere was better than the FA Cup Final which he'd officiated at earlier in the year. Excellent night at the old place and one that will remain with me until 'I'll pop me clogs'.

    Bryan Snowden.

Solid as a rock in defence in a team that went 59 unbeaten games at home. RIP Brian.

If I recall correctly, Fred originally joined Millwall as a striker.
