Kavanagh's end of season letter to Millwall fans

What the fuck does Director Of Professional Game Relations mean? Why do so many job titles these days make zero sense?

Kavanagh's end of season letter to Millwall fans

Yep. Edwards was a quite terrible appointment but credit where it's due, they recognised that and made the change at the right time.

Kavanagh's end of season letter to Millwall fans

Yes, he has done what is a difficult job very well. The attendances this season have been remarkable. I forgot about Ambler. I wonder what he's up to?

    Charlie Hurley RIP

My late dad told me he was absolutely brilliant. I didn't know he was voted as our best player ever by The Lion Roars. He was also voted as Sunderland's player of the century. As a manager he signed Robin Friday, the subject of one of the best books about football I have ever read. Rest In...

Kavanagh's end of season letter to Millwall fans

https://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/2024/april/26/millwall-ceo-pens-end-of-season-column/ Interestingly not a mention of Edwards or Rowett, which is strange.

Sunderland V Wall -Sat 3pm-------- match thread--------

I'd be amazed if we don't sign Longman permanently now. He has come on leaps and bounds under Harris and is his sort of player. He has played a key role in our good form.

    Simply

Harris has saved the club in more ways than one. Relegation would have cost us a fortune. He should be given the chance to take us forward because we owe him. For now, this should be a lesson to the board and some of our supporters. We are what we are and there is nothing wrong with that.

    Steve Kavanagh

I've given Kavanagh plenty of stick, mostly unwarranted, but he has done a very difficult job well. John Berylson was a pretty decent judge of a person and he trusted him so that'll do for me. And that goes for Barrett and Livermore too. Both rock solid professional people who have given this...

On this day 25 year ago

I was going through a very dark period in the few years before this and I remember quite clearly thinking that all I wanted was to see Millwall at Wembley and I could die relatively happy. What a special day. Little did I know that this would be just the start of one of the most successful times...

    Team v Black cats

That team is spot-on. I'd be surprised if it is anything else. I'd take a point now so we can finally be safe and put this season behind us.

    Millwall Accounts 22/23

No problem mate. This one can be deleted. I just think it's important people see it. The Berylson family are the reason this club is still going.

    Millwall Accounts 22/23

Relegation would be a total disaster. It would cost the club millions it simply does not have. Staying in this league and being competitive is still a huge achievement on our budget and something we have done for the last several seasons. Maybe the fans dissatisfied with how the club is...

Courtesy of respected football finance expert Kieran Maguire. Basically, we are still very dependent on the Berylson family and other board members.

The mighty Lions V The Bluebirds of Cardiff match thread

All the talk when Edwards came in was seeing better football. Well, I suppose it depends on what you think that is. Personally, I love the way we have played during Harris' second spell as manager. The last two games we have been magnificent and we've had 30% possession in both. Whisper it...
